Q: What will happen?
A: There will be a night of poetry, stories, and songs -- in any language.

Q: But I don't speak Dutch / English / Spanish / Japanese!
A: Do not worry about it. Sometimes things can be beautiful without having to understand it. There are lots of people in The Hague, from all over the planet; it should be beautiful to listen to. There will be something for everyone.

Q: Where will it be?
A: Cremers+, the newly built part of Cremers. It looks very different to the upstairs part. It is not a place to relax, but a place to think differently.

Q: Who will be there with their poems/stories/songs?
A: At first, I am going to handpick some people from some classified ads, and from people I know. Eventually, there will be a more open system where people can get in touch with me and join in.

Q: Do people have to clap by snapping their fingers?
A: No.

Q: Tell me about poems.
A: Poetry is all about the beauty of the spoken word. It is not only important that the words are well-picked and provocative, but also that the person reading them reads them well.

Q: Tell me about storytelling.
A: Storytelling is the oldest tradition in the world, and maybe the most important. It is one of the first things that we do with children. Stories can be mysterious, exciting, uplifting or sobering. They can be things that really happened, fiction, or a mix of the two. All storytellers are welcome, but if they are going to be performing in a language that isn't Dutch or English, they should bring a translator.

Q: Tell me about songs.
A: Songwriters are everywhere, and they bring us poems and stories, but with a bit of something special. The role of songwriters on this night is to break things up a bit. Acoustic instruments only, with two people being the maximum number of performers at one time.

Q: What kind of atmosphere is there going to be?
A: It won't be serious, and it won't be silly. Intelligent, deep entertainment is going to be there, but you don't need to know anything special about poetry, stories, or music to enjoy it. It is going to be a good time, but we're also going to be respectful to the people who are bringing us their work.

Q: Yes, but what kind of atmosphere -- is it a beanbags or stools situation?
A: If you want to stand, sit up straight, or sink into a fatboy, that's really up to you.

Q: So what is a typical night like?
A: It would start with a list of the artists who are with us that night, and we will always start with a song, just to get things warmed up. After that, there would be a few poems and stories, always sandwiched by a song or two. There will be no intermission, but after the performances have been done, we will have plenty of time to talk to each other -- a sort of informal Q&A session.

Q: How do we know when a song / story / poem is finished?
A: There will be a little bell. When the artist is finished, they will ring it. Those are the rules of our club.

Q: What is your club called?
A: The Q&A Club.
